Dance Team
Denver Dhadak began in 2022 as a small group of dancers looking to share their love for Bollywood dance with the Denver area. It has since evolved into multiple dance teams to offer performance opportunities to all levels of dancers. Whether you are a beginner looking to explore and grow as a performer or a seasoned dancer with a wealth of experience, Denver Dhadak has a dance team for you!
Performance Team
The Performance Team is open to all levels of dancers and offers participants a way to learn fun choreographies, grow as a performer, and ultimately perform on stage! This team is suitable for beginners (with no or limited experience in dance) and advanced dancers alike. Rehearsals are held weekly for the season and choreography is broken down and practiced at a pace that is comfortable for the group. As rehearsals progress, instructors will set formations and review how to “perform” in preparation for taking the stage. The season closes with a showcase of what you've learned at a public event!

- Weekly rehearsals will be held on Mondays at 7:30 pm in Aurora, CO
- Rehearsals are 90 mins weekly
- Rehearsals begin week of August 10th and will continue through October 31st, 2024
- We expect you to be rehearsing on your own between rehearsals
- Stage performance is targeted for end of October (Date/Time/Location TBA)
- Team Fees cover rehearsals and team apparel (excludes performance registration and costumes)
- If you have known travel or outages, please let us know now so we can plan our rehearsal schedule accordingly. Missing 1 or 2 rehearsals should not be an issue, but if you are missing more, this will impact the team overall so will need to be evaluated on a case by case basis.

Advanced Team
The Advanced Team is for more experienced dancers who are invited to join via audition. Auditions are held twice a year (next one is August 1st, 2024). The Advanced Team moves at a faster pace than the Performance Team as choreography and formations are more intricate, rehearsals are more physically demanding, and dancers strongly benefit from having a background in dance and performance. Each season will involve at least one public performance and this team may participate in dance competitions when available.
Auditions consist of learning a Bollywood routine and performing the routine for our selection committee. Auditions are open for enrollment - register today and please email us with any questions – denver.dhadak@gmail.com
- Weekly rehearsals will be held on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm in Centennial, CO
- Rehearsals are 90 mins each
- Rehearsals begin week of August 10th and continue through October 31st, 2024
- We expect you to be rehearsing on your own between rehearsals (30-60 mins)
- Stage performance is targeted for end of October (Date/Time/Location TBA)
- Team Fees cover rehearsals and team apparel (excludes performance registration and costumes)

- The Advanced Team has a non-compete and we ask that you not perform or compete with other Bollywood Dance groups during the season
